Yining Liu
Biomedical Engineering Doctoral Student
Yining is a third year graduate student in Duke’s biomedical engineering program. Her PhD work focuses on using immunomodulating biomaterials for chronic wound healing. Due to her personal experience with BED, she is interested in the research and psychoeducation of eating disorder, which leads to her volunteering as the major editor of the first and biggest ED blog in China, with over 23,000 followers at present. Prior to her Duke journey, Yining got her BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University, China, and her MS in Bioengineering from UCLA. In her spare time, Yining enjoys cooking, writing and practicing Taekwondo.
